Impresionism inspired nail art tutorial

Hi guys,

I ve decided to make a new tutorial. Today I 'll show you how to make your nails look like a beautiful painting. What inspired me was the impressionist movement and paintings like these:

I love nail art but I don't have time to do it so often. So, here it is, I really hope you will enjoy it and also try it. Its not very hard to do, you just need a bit of patience.

For this tutorial I used :

- a thin nail art brush

-some matte nail polishes (make sure that they are not glittery or neon like) : so you will need 3 shades of pink (the base one, and other 2 pinks -one darker and one lighter - make sure they are not very similar), light green, khaki, orange, white, purple.
-a piece of plastic - it could be anything- it will be used as a  painters pallet
-some paper tissues
-acetone
-a top coat to finish the touch

So lets start :  )

1. Apply the top coat, then the first layer of pink. Let it dry.

2.Then take your plastic and put one drop of every color you got on it. Do not mix them together

3.Dip your nail art brush into the darkest color you have - the dark purple and start making elongated dots on your nail like this (they don t have to look perfect). Mine look like small stars but its ok, keep going

(sorry guys about the quality of the photos, i can t seem to find my camera)

4. Put some acetone on your paper tissue and gently wipe the nail art brush

5.Apply the lighter pinks and the orange using the same technique (elongated dots) and wiping the nail art brush every time

6.Apply the light green and then the khaki trying to make some leaves. Use more green and less khaki. The trick is that you don t have to struggle to make leaves, just make bigger elongated dots with the brush (look how romantic and pretty it looks)
7.Apply a small white dot in the middle - that will make the flowers pop
8.Top coat
Done

They look vintage, romantic and classy

I also tried this on a base color like matte white, green or matte baby pink . Which  one do you like?

Good luck :- )

Love,
Sophie
