Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum review

Hello ladies,

I discovered this fragrance while visiting the Duty Free shop from Greece. At the time I was kind of broke returning from holiday so I said "ok...some other time". And then I completely forgot about it.Until now. I was visiting Sephora and saw it. And got it. yey !
The bottle is a small piece of art, so precious and lovely. It is inspired by the Murano glass, definitely an avant-garde stile to it.

What can I tell you about the fragrance? Well I prefer the eau de parfum because it s quite different then the eau de toilette. It s not only the intensity that makes the difference but the components as well.
When you will try this versatile scent, you will feel this amazing sweet/spicy/fruity sensation. I could feel immediately the pear, mixed with just a hint of mandarin.
When its settling down, you can feel the orchid, patchouli and the caramel/chocolate scent. It is spicy/gourmet.  What i do love about this perfume is that it gives you a warm pleasant feeling while wearing it. Sillage is high and longevity is quite good. I wore it all day today outdoors, i took a shower and its still smelling on me. Wow.
Its a classy, sexy, urban perfume that you could wear it in the rainy/cold seasons, maybe on the theater, maybe on a chic/posh coffee shop...
I am giving it the max rating. 5 out of 5, Jimmy Choo.

Hugs and kisses from

Sophie

Clinique high impact waterproof mascara review

Hello ladies,

I want to talk to you about one of my favorite waterproof mascaras, Clinique. What I wanted was a mascara that won't make me look like Alice Cooper (no offence, I love Alice and his amazing songs, but his look is not for me : )
So, the weather is really hot in Greece, what to do? I wanted to look nice so I took a shot with Clinique.

I was kind of familiarized with their products, and I knew they make high quality stuff so I went to Sephora and bought it.
Its amazing. It s really waterproof, but does not make you struggle while you try to remove it at home -  you know that situation when you re pulling out the mascara and also the lashes. If you dislike bald eyes like I do, and you are picky about your mascaras, try Clinique. It has an awesome texture and it smells nice (I m obsessed how my beauty products smell. I don't like very pronounced smells because that's a signal there are too many chemicals in my products, but also I like a subtle, nice scent).
It costs about 16$.

I love the brush, it extends your lashes, and does not make them look spider-like.
You can find it in 2 colors - black and brown black and I got them both.
During the day I like to wear the brown black because I look more natural, and if I have to go out at night I am wearing the black mascara.
Bottom line, it lasts all day, naturally curls your lashes (even if you have tiny ones like me), a nice purchase.

I give it 5 starts out of 5.

See you soon,

Sophie

New ! Merci chocolate sweet review

Hi ladies,

Let's face it. We all love sweets. We feel a bit guilty after we ate them, and of course we worry about our weight, or our diet, but come on ! We only have a life, we deserve a well earned treat after a hard day, don't we?
I adore chocolates and coffee. If they are mixed all together, that's even better. Its a love/addiction relationship with me and those two. "Merci" chocolates were my friends since childhood. And later on, out of nostalgia (and chocolate addiction :) I kept the tradition with these amazing small chocolate bars .

I was buying them especially for the coffee ones. Don't get me wrong, all of them are amazing (milk, hazelnuts, marzipan, dark chocolate praline etc) but I  have a weakness for the chocolate/cafe-latte combination. My taste buds find it irresistible.
So, me and my boyfriend were doing our groceries in the supermarket and there it was ! The supreme chocolate.
I was sure this chocolate will make my day. And it did.

Its the same high quality taste of fresh milk mixed with roasted coffee beans combined with a thick layer of fine chocolate. I also sensed a hint of cocoa butter and vanilla. Yummy! I suggest you'll try it.

It costs less then 3 $ and I can assure you won't regret you bought it. Its an expensive taste, with a cheap price. What can you want more?
If however you are not a fan of chocolate/coffee combination, i ll suggest other flavors like milk, hazelnut almond, dark chocolate mousse or praline-creme.
 I rate this 5 out of 5.

So, if you want to give yourself a gift or even to someone you love, a friend, a lover, a kid, "Merci" is great for that.
Did you know that the word "merci" in French means "thank you"?

Well, thank you for reading this, my friends,

 Sweet kisses from

Sophie

Sephora nail polish 5 days lasting- Color hit collection review

Hi guys,

As I told you a few days ago, i got from Sephora a new nail polish. I did not had the time to make a proper review so I am doing it now.

So the nail polish looks like this number 70 Flash me, a pearly green/yellow neon color, and i payed for it 5$.

I can say that the color s amazing and perfect for the summer time, but it does not last 5 days. Not even 3. If you are a posh lady and dont't do anything around the house, it might last for 4 days...maybe. But if you are doing the dishes and other chores around the house, it does not last.
So... its pretty disappointing, but at least for a day, maybe two the most you can wear it.
A trick is to wear it with neutral top coat over it so it would last a little longer.

My rate is just a star out of 5. Sorry, Sephora.

Anyways, that s it for today, hugs and kisses as always,

Sophie

Calvin Klein "Down Town" new perfume for women

Hello ladies,

I discovered this fragrance while I was checking out new products in Sephora.  I got a sample and I want to share my conclusions about this perfume with you.

First of all the pluses:

The look:
-I love the bottle,  the minimal classy look of it. The light pink color of the perfume and also the cap.

The smell:
-It smells like something light and fruity and a bit sweet at first. Its purpose is to aim a certain type of young woman. The free spirited one. Its a day perfume, and i can sense in it tones of green pear in it, white flowers, and an aquatic fresh scent.
After a while, the smell changes into a nice warm scent, a bit creamy too, a little peppery (it also has in its composition pink pepper), a little woody (thanks to the vetiver) and musky.
 Its modern, urban chic.

Where to wear?
During the day, at work, at the cinema, at the tea house/coffee shop.

The minuses:

Wearing it its making me feel comfortable, but not special. Its a common scent from my point of view.
I also am not a big fan of floral fresh perfumes, I am aiming for more complex fragrances. Indeed this one it smells better then the old fashioned florals but still does not satisfies me. Too plain, too light.
On my skin, even if its an Eau de Parfume, its longevity is poor.

It costs around 80 $.

My rating is poor but not because I don t like the scent, it is because for what it offers the price is way too high. I would never purchase it, sorry Calvin Klein, "Euphoria" was better!
I am giving this perfume a disappointing 1 star out of 5.

Hugs,

Sophie

Yves Rocher Raspberry review : Organic lotion and fizzy bath cube

Hello ladies,

I had a walk in the mall and I couldn't resist the Yves Rocher shop. So, I entered and I got 2 things:

- A lovely raspberry silky lotion (400 ml / 13.5 fl.oz)

-And a tiny bath cube with the same lovely scent of raspberry (0.7 oz)

The lotion is divine and I do love that its made out of organic raspberries. I think this is why I adore Yves Rocher so much and using their products so often: they are natural, cheap and they smell yummy. I feel heavenly when i apply it. Its light texture makes my skin soft as satin and of course I love the fact that it is non oily and i can get dressed immediatly after i apply it.
This lotion smells incredibly gourmet. If you close your eyes you feel like you are in a garden full of raspberries, or maybe, if you have more imagination you can think you are a tiny person living in a in a raspberry yoghurt.
My first impulse was to eat all the content of the bottle but I had to stop myself : - )
It costs 12 $  (10 euros) but i got it cheaper (8 $) with my Y.Rocher fidelity card.

The effervescent cube is also great, makes the water smell so lovely, relaxes you, and also makes the scent remain on your skin after you get out of the bath tub.
And it only costs 2 $ ( just 1.5 Euros).
I give both products my highest score 5 starts!

Hopefully this review helped you. See you soon !
Love,

Sophie

Shopping in Sephora : Max Factor lip stain, Sephora nail polishes, Bvlgari and Elie Saab perfumes review

Hi guys,

Yesterday I went with my boyfriend in Sephora to get a new perfume for him, and I got a little something for myself too. Also i got to try some free samples that are really adorable.

So lets make some reviews, shall we? :- )

1. The first thing i got was a lip stain from Max Factor

I got the color 03 - pink princess.

I love it. It is not that pink actually, its more of a plumy color.
It lasts long, you can drink and eat and kiss a lot and does not wear off ( its a big plus because my boyfriend hates sticky/ glittery lip glosses but I guess almost all guys do, is n t it ? ).
This lip stain is pretty much like a pencil, you just apply on lips and it dries off very fast because it is water based. It gives you an awesome pigmented color and the shape of the pen helps you to make the perfect contour for your lips. Also it does not smell in any way so that s a big bonus.
The only disadvantage it has its that it may leave your lips a bit dry, so keep those lips hydrated with lip balm/lip butter (try the ones from The body shop- they are amazing) while you are at home. Try a vitamin E based lip balm, because vitamin E rejuvenates the lips. But even with this minus i will still rate it with 5 stars.
Am really in love with Max Factor products and I guess this time too they outdone themselves.
 It costs 10 Euros, 9.5 $.

I give it the highest rating - 5 stars.

2. The second thing i got was the Sephora nail polish - from the color hit collection

They say it lasts 5 days on. I am not sure they last that much because i just tried it on one nail, but I will write some more info after i will try it on this weekend.
I wanted to get a crazy summer color that i did not had in my collection and i found this - number 70 Flash me:

Its a  pearly yellow/green sort of neon color.  I will do a tutorial of manicure with this color soon.
I must admit that I was not a fan of neon's but now since i got my tan on, it looks amazing.
It costs about 4.5 Euros, about 5$.

I can't rate this because I don't have a clue if wit will last 5 days, but will do, soon. I can only say that its really pretty and i absolutely adore this color. I am having already in mind a contrast based manicure with this color in the center of attention combined with a deep black or maybe some dark purple.

3.I also got a second nail polish from Sephora Collection Nail Laquer - number 66 -sunset on the beach

I tried this on and it looks fantastic. Its looking even better then the picture. Its a glittery red/magenta color.  It's the second day i m wearing this and still looks great.
It was on discount and i got it with only 1 Euro, but usually these mini nail polishes are 4 Euros.

4. Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline Eau de parfum

I adore this perfume. Its citrusy, green and fruity, woody also. It has in its composition a exotic Asian pear called nashi. It actually looks line an apple and smells something between apple and pear. It s better then the Eau de toilette. I think this version s way better.

I definitely see this perfume as a classy one. I would wear it on a date, on a night out , during the day or the night. Its something between floral, gourmet, aquatic and fruity scent. It lasts up to 7 hours.
It also has some hints of musk that makes it smell so expensive!
It costs about 45 Euros / 48 $ the purse size one.

I am giving it 5 stars out of 5!

5. Elie Saab -Le parfum -Eau de parfum

My mother has this perfume and it smells incredibly nice (and I must say this is not the typical perfume for mums, so yes mine is cool! ) I got a free sample from Sephora and i am thinking about purchasing a big bottle of this sophisticated aroma that I fell in love with hopelessly.
The reviews say its a floral scent but i don t agree. Its more a woody/sweet/floral scent.
I must say I HATE floral scents without any fruits in the composition but this one has honey in it that gives it a warm, oriental hint.
Its also sweet but in the good way, not heavy-sweet that makes you intoxicated and sick. This perfume is haute couture but in a subtle way. Its elegant and amazing and I think every woman should have it.
It lasts up to 10 hours on my skin and even if its more of a evening/cocktail/theater/night out/ perfume i love to wear it all the time, even in my sleep. Also being an oriental scent I would recommend you to wear it in the colder seasons. But if you are like me and you can t help yourself, don't over do it.
Also, I love the design of the bottle. It makes you happy and proud to be a lady.
I will give it 5 stars plus!
Definitely a must have!

I also got a few samples from Vichy cream but I haven't tried it yet so I can' t express my oppinion, but If you did tried this cream or these products, you can leave a comment below!

Kisses and hugs from me

S.

New : Yves Rocher Jardins du monde - Macadamia shower cream review

Hi guys,

I must admit that I am a fan of Yves Rocher products. I love almost all of them and I just bought this lovely shower creme that needs to have its on review.

It's the newest shower creme from Jardins du monde collection. It smells incredibly yummy. Something between macadamia nuts and vanilla / rum ice cream. It has a lovely creamy texture that becomes a soft mousse and hydrates the skin. Washing with this amazing product is a treat. You feel like you are a molecule in a huge bowl of milk, mixed with vanilla, a hint of caramel and a subtle flowery scent all combined together.
If you are a fan of gourmet smells just like I am, then you don't have to miss this great shower product. I think its warm flavor goes better with the rainy/wintery seasons.

Oh, and its cheap too : just 3 euros- 3.5 $.
I shall give it 5 starts out of 5 and I will definitely purchase it again.

Hugs from me.

Love,

Sophie
