Black XS Paco Rabanne for her Eau de Toilette review

Hello ladies,

I wanted to buy this perfume since I first got a sample from Sephora. So I did.

 

It is sharp after you apply it, and you can definitely feel the pepper in it, almost masculine. So spicy and woody, I like this effect on fragrances. It subtle reminded me of Jimmy Choo eau de parfum.  Also I loved the design of the bottle, so dark, mysterious and Gothic.
After a while, you can sense the berries,the warm vanilla and the creamy cocoa. But the notes are not that balanced, so the berries and the pepper are suffocating all the other ingredients (rose, violets).

I purchased the set (80ml Eau de Toilette+ 100ml body lotion)--60 Euros from a duty free shop. I thought its a great price, but when I got home I was disappointed. It does not last on my skin more then 2 hours. Also after using it for several days you tend to get bored with the fragrance because its too plain, too common. Like many other scents.

You can wear it during the day, night, summer, winter, autumn. Its a pleasant perfume overall, a bit sexy but it is definitely missing something.
The body lotion is smooth and lovely.

I give it 3.5 stars out of 5. I don't know if I would purchase it again, I think not. Just too common for my tastes.

Lancome's "La vie est belle" perfume review

Hi guys,


How you been ? I've been writing and trying out new products. Valentine's Day is approaching so I wanted to suggest a great perfume for you to wear in that special day even if you are single or you have a special someone in your life.

 If you love gourmet scents like I do, this is the one for you, but you'll hate it if you like fresh perfumes.
 It makes you positive and happy, it celebrates life in a seductive-but playful way.
 Fruits like blackcurrant mixed with vanilla and powdery white flowers, all wrapped in tasty praline smell. Delicious and warm due to the tonka beans added to the mix. Its sillage is incredible, the design of the bottle is parisienne-chic.

For autumn or winter s perfect, it makes you smile when it rains outside. For a night at the theater, restaurant or even cocktail party its great.
I think its a perfume for  25+ age because its sophisticated rather than juvenile. Very strong scent, so go easy with it, do not apply more then 3 sprays because it might make you feel nausea because of its sweetness.

It cost about 98 $  (about 94 Euros).

I will give it 4.5 stars out of 5.

Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum review

Hello ladies,

I discovered this fragrance while visiting the Duty Free shop from Greece. At the time I was kind of broke returning from holiday so I said "ok...some other time". And then I completely forgot about it.Until now. I was visiting Sephora and saw it. And got it. yey !
The bottle is a small piece of art, so precious and lovely. It is inspired by the Murano glass, definitely an avant-garde stile to it.

What can I tell you about the fragrance? Well I prefer the eau de parfum because it s quite different then the eau de toilette. It s not only the intensity that makes the difference but the components as well.
When you will try this versatile scent, you will feel this amazing sweet/spicy/fruity sensation. I could feel immediately the pear, mixed with just a hint of mandarin.
When its settling down, you can feel the orchid, patchouli and the caramel/chocolate scent. It is spicy/gourmet.  What i do love about this perfume is that it gives you a warm pleasant feeling while wearing it. Sillage is high and longevity is quite good. I wore it all day today outdoors, i took a shower and its still smelling on me. Wow.
Its a classy, sexy, urban perfume that you could wear it in the rainy/cold seasons, maybe on the theater, maybe on a chic/posh coffee shop...
I am giving it the max rating. 5 out of 5, Jimmy Choo.

Calvin Klein "Down Town" new perfume for women

Hello ladies,

I discovered this fragrance while I was checking out new products in Sephora.  I got a sample and I want to share my conclusions about this perfume with you.

First of all the pluses:

The look:
-I love the bottle,  the minimal classy look of it. The light pink color of the perfume and also the cap.

The smell:
 -It smells like something light and fruity and a bit sweet at first. Its purpose is to aim a certain type of young woman. The free spirited one. Its a day perfume, and i can sense in it tones of green pear in it, white flowers, and an aquatic fresh scent.
After a while, the smell changes into a nice warm scent, a bit creamy too, a little peppery (it also has in its composition pink pepper), a little woody (thanks to the vetiver) and musky.
 Its modern, urban chic.

Where to wear?
During the day, at work, at the cinema, at the tea house/coffee shop.

The minuses:

Wearing it its making me feel comfortable, but not special. Its a common scent from my point of view.
I also am not a big fan of floral fresh perfumes, I am aiming for more complex fragrances. Indeed this one it smells better then the old fashioned florals but still does not satisfies me. Too plain, too light. 
On my skin, even if its an Eau de Parfume, its longevity is poor.

It costs around 80 $.

My rating is poor but not because I don t like the scent, it is because for what it offers the price is way too high. I would never purchase it, sorry Calvin Klein, "Euphoria" was better!
I am giving this perfume a disappointing 1 star out of 5.

Chloe -eau de perfume -review

Hi again my beauty lovers,

I am here in front of you, to make an honest review to a perfume (EDP) that  I 've got very recently- Chloe.

This is the perfume of contradictions. It is soft and romantic, elegant yet full of sex appeal and seductiveness . It is basically a floral scent (the rose is predominant) ,but later as the hours pass, it becomes quite powdery and (if you got a really great nose) citrusy. This is a fancy scent, and I must say that this is not for everyone. Either you would fall in love with it or you will hate it.
It is also versatile - you could wear it in a meeting at the office in the morning or at dinner at evenings.
It smells awesome in a crowded pub along with the tobacco in the room, it gets more intense.
Personally I must admit that I didn't thought I would wear a perfume like Chloe because my style is more gourmet and mysterious when it comes to perfumes, but I was so wrong. I love it. Love ! Love!   Love!

Price? 95 Euros.
Stars? a maximum of 5.

Yves Rocher "Flower Party" perfume review

Hello sweethearts,

I am an addict when it comes to perfumes. I love to experiment with all kind of scents and i am quite familiar with almost every brand out there.

You know why i adore Yves Rocher ? Because on this little boutique you will get amazing scents and also beauty products (i will make more reviews about them in my next posts), you will get quality and also great prices.

I knew about this perfume since 2010, but i bought it recently. Now, the only regret i have is that i did not purchased it sooner.
This Flower party perfume was only10 Euros (the small Eau de Toilette bottle -15 ml).
I got the small one because :

1. I get bored of the scents really fast so i often change my perfumes.
2. I wanted to see if it s a good product

I give it a 5 on a scale from 1 to 5.

It s a great day perfume, a fruity -flowery scent with some spicy notes and a bit of vanilla. You can wear it in every season, i love this about it.
This lovely scent reminds me of Amor Amor from Cacharel.
But it s better! Really ! It gives me a great happy feeling each time i spray it on me.
It also holds for several hours on my skin (about 5! -not so bad for an eau de toilette).
The price is also great - you can find it in a 30ml wonderful red bottle, and 50 ml (it costs around 30Euros).

If you love fruity, playful, flowery and spicy-oriental fragrances, this is your perfume!
