Vintage peel off mask with powdered gelatine and milk

Ok ladies, so we don't have always the meanings to go to the spa to look pretty but i have a vintage recipe that you will love. It leaves your skin flawless and beautiful.
So ...lets get started : we need a small bag of powdered gelatine and some milk. Yes, the gelatine that you use for cooking - soufflés, jellies, mousses, cheesecakes, flans and pies etc.
 It makes great pore stripes.
Here is what you need to do:

1. Get a CLEAN makeup brush that you don't use anymore, popsicle stick or just your clean fingers anything that s comfortable for you. I prefer my brush.

2. Put 2 spoons of  clear gelatine and 1 and a half table spoon of milk in a small cup and mix it together until it becomes a paste. Milk hydrates and replenishes the skin, leaving it glowing and radiant. You can use any milk you want, but just for the record, don't scrimp on the fat. The thicker and creamier it is, the better. It hydrates your skin even more, moisturizing it with the vitamins and proteins from the fat.

3. Mix them in a bowl and then put them for 5 to 7 seconds on the microwave. You should get a gooey product.

4. TEST it on the back of your hand, DO NOT apply on your face without testing.

5. Put a layer -not very thing or thick- something in between- on your nose and face AVOIDING the eye/brow area.

6. Wait for it to dry out - if its too dried out when you try to peel off and it hurts, just put a bit of water on that area and it will soften immediately.

7.Peel off

I hope this helped,

Love,

Sophie

Two faced "Jingle all the way" palette review

Hi ladies,

I purchased this small palette with delicious colors in a iPhone5 pink and gold case and I don't regret it.

All these colors in such a small palette, I was so happy I found it.
I have brown eyes so these lovely eye shadows are exactly what I usually wear - especially the nude ones.
You can get creative and make festive looks, also natural daily looks- they blend really well.
You will get 9 color eye shadows and two base shadows. To be honest, I do not use the base shadows because I apply my primer.

Shade 1- black with blue sparkles - the blue sparkles are not visible on the skin.
Shade 2- light ivory beige - this is too dusty and falls out
Shade 3 - cooper metalic
Shade 4 - my personal favourite pearly latte
Shade 5- pinkish lavender
Shade 6- smokey purple
Shade 7- bronzed gold
Shade 8- cool shimmery dark brown
Shade 9-smokey turquoise with silver sparkles - a bit of fallout

Its a great travel palette and Its one of my favorite ones because I take it anywhere and use it constantly.
Also the blush and bronzer are amazing, I usually get my kabuki brush and blend them together.
They have great pigmentation and smell, no - parabens at all and the price was great- 20 Euros/ 22 $.

I give it 5 stars out of five and definitely will repurchase.

Love,

Sophie

Lancome's "La vie est belle" perfume review

Hi guys,

How you been ? I've been writing and trying out new products. Valentine's Day is approaching so I wanted to suggest a great perfume for you to wear in that special day even if you are single or you have a special someone in your life.

If you love gourmet scents like I do, this is the one for you, but you'll hate it if you like fresh perfumes.
It makes you positive and happy, it celebrates life in a seductive-but playful way.
Fruits like blackcurrant mixed with vanilla and powdery white flowers, all wrapped in tasty praline smell. Delicious and warm due to the tonka beans added to the mix. Its sillage is incredible, the design of the bottle is parisienne-chic.

For autumn or winter s perfect, it makes you smile when it rains outside. For a night at the theater, restaurant or even cocktail party its great.
I think its a perfume for  25+ age because its sophisticated rather than juvenile. Very strong scent, so go easy with it, do not apply more then 3 sprays because it might make you feel nausea because of its sweetness.

It cost about 98 $  (about 94 Euros).

I will give it 4.5 stars out of 5.

Have a great Valentines day, single or not

Love,

Sophie

Diorshow iconic overcurl mascara review

Hi ladies,

Sorry I haven't wrote for a while, was so busy, and lazy, but no more.
Today I will make a review to a great mascara, one of my favorites, by Christian Dior.

I purchased it from Sephora, a few days ago, and I really wanted to test it out before writing a review. Because many posh-like cosmetics promise a lot for a whole bunch of money but they are worthless, so we end up with a hole in out pockets and a broken heart : - )

What drawn me to it wasn't the Christian Dior famous background but the original, classy look of the recipient. A silvery tube with a great shaped brush. When the curiosity strikes as usual, I need to have it.
My lashes are so short, straight and boring, that i needed a miracle formula to make me look good. This mascara curls amazingly well with no clumping and, a big bonus for us ladies: lasts all day long. Also, the mascara doesn't run or smudge thanks to the brush you see in the image above and gives great volume.
When applied it gives the impression of thick, almost-like, fake lashes. You don't even need an eyelash curler anymore.

It costs about 29$. So, a great price for C.Dior
So this product receives 5 stars out of 5 and my solemn promise that I ll purchase it in the future.

Thanks for reading,

Love,
Sophie

Makeup session with Guerlain, new products review

Hello ladies,

Let me tell you what happened. I was walking around in my favorite shop, Sephora, sniffing some new fragrances that i will review later, and there was this awesome make up session organized by Guerlain, they picked me to model their new products so this is the result :

The look created is called "The Sophie glam rock look" and there were used the following products in this order:

-Precious light- rejuvenating illuminator
You apply this on the eye area patting gently with the ring finger. It s a great eye primer, great moisturiser, concealer (covers all the imperfections and fine lines), and also illuminator thanks to the tiny gold particles  which reflect light. Also in his composition has myrrh oil, known for its regenerating properties, and lifting the skin.
-Makeup Tenue de Perfection (13)

Amazing long lasting makeup with spf. Its creamy texture and discreet scent melts into your pores in literally 3 seconds. It lasts many many hours, has a great coverage, and makes the complexion look flawless. It has an solar protection factor of 20. A big bonus.

-Ecrin 2 couleurs - 2 colors eye makeup (06)
The makup artist was inspired by my glam/rock clothes, and used these two beautifully pigmented eye shadows to make a gloomy but glamorous smokey look.  They last long, and have precious shiny particles incorporated. Definitely to wear in a pub, in a club at evenings, even at a nice restaurant. You can combine the pink and the black creating retro, amazing looks. These colors definitely suit me because i have a LOT of similar products with these 2 tones. I adore smoky looks, don't you? They look so dramatic, Gothic and classy.

-Teracotta bronzer (02)
It's a nice, compact bronzer that accentuates the natural glow of the bronze. I think me being a bit tanned helped a lot. I do not think that this bronzing powder would go on fair skin, because it would make a high contrast and would seem fake, plastic and cheap.

-Madame rougit -Blush
This however it is a great blush. It has 3 different shades, a beautiful warm tone of peach, a cold bright pink and a neutral pastel pink. The small dots are pearly butter-white which add the extra glow on the cheek bones. If you combine them with a kabuki brush all the colors would give you a great, balanced result. I am inlove with this product.

- Clis D'Enfer Mascara
I was not very impressed by this mascara. My lashes were just colored, that was it. Not curvy, not elongated, not more voluminous.  Nothing. My personal opinion is that the mascara is not good for me and for its price does not offer that much.

-Gloss D 'Enfer number 468 (candy strip)

Another thing that  I adored was this little pink/coral gloss. Smooth & silky, not very sticky, lasts so long for a gloss. 3 hours if you eat or kiss, 5 hours if you are not.

I was so lucky to test the new Guerlain products. I got the gloss, the makeup foundation and the blush. I would also get 2 colour eye makeup (on my next wage : - )

Sorry about this last shot, the camera broke down exactly when they wanted to capture the result, hence the weird grins that we had on our faces.
Thanks for reading,  and you are welcomed to share your makeup experiences with me, or just say a "hi".
here is me falling asleep with that make up on, this is how much i loved it
by the way ! NEVER sleep with your make up on , girls!!

Love,
Sophie

Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum review

Hello ladies,

I discovered this fragrance while visiting the Duty Free shop from Greece. At the time I was kind of broke returning from holiday so I said "ok...some other time". And then I completely forgot about it.Until now. I was visiting Sephora and saw it. And got it. yey !
The bottle is a small piece of art, so precious and lovely. It is inspired by the Murano glass, definitely an avant-garde stile to it.

What can I tell you about the fragrance? Well I prefer the eau de parfum because it s quite different then the eau de toilette. It s not only the intensity that makes the difference but the components as well.
When you will try this versatile scent, you will feel this amazing sweet/spicy/fruity sensation. I could feel immediately the pear, mixed with just a hint of mandarin.
When its settling down, you can feel the orchid, patchouli and the caramel/chocolate scent. It is spicy/gourmet.  What i do love about this perfume is that it gives you a warm pleasant feeling while wearing it. Sillage is high and longevity is quite good. I wore it all day today outdoors, i took a shower and its still smelling on me. Wow.
Its a classy, sexy, urban perfume that you could wear it in the rainy/cold seasons, maybe on the theater, maybe on a chic/posh coffee shop...
I am giving it the max rating. 5 out of 5, Jimmy Choo.

Hugs and kisses from

Sophie

Clinique high impact waterproof mascara review

Hello ladies,

I want to talk to you about one of my favorite waterproof mascaras, Clinique. What I wanted was a mascara that won't make me look like Alice Cooper (no offence, I love Alice and his amazing songs, but his look is not for me : )
So, the weather is really hot in Greece, what to do? I wanted to look nice so I took a shot with Clinique.

I was kind of familiarized with their products, and I knew they make high quality stuff so I went to Sephora and bought it.
Its amazing. It s really waterproof, but does not make you struggle while you try to remove it at home -  you know that situation when you re pulling out the mascara and also the lashes. If you dislike bald eyes like I do, and you are picky about your mascaras, try Clinique. It has an awesome texture and it smells nice (I m obsessed how my beauty products smell. I don't like very pronounced smells because that's a signal there are too many chemicals in my products, but also I like a subtle, nice scent).
It costs about 16$.

I love the brush, it extends your lashes, and does not make them look spider-like.
You can find it in 2 colors - black and brown black and I got them both.
During the day I like to wear the brown black because I look more natural, and if I have to go out at night I am wearing the black mascara.
Bottom line, it lasts all day, naturally curls your lashes (even if you have tiny ones like me), a nice purchase.

I give it 5 starts out of 5.

See you soon,

Sophie
